Picking the right storage facility can be tricky, especially if this is your first time renting external space. You need to think about convenience, the type of lock up you require, and how much space you need. If you’re interested in renting a locker with us but have a few queries on your mind, our team at Store That E14 have put together this blog with the answers to some of our frequently asked questions.

 

Can you accept packages/deliveries without me being present?

 

This can be arranged if we know to expect it. Please let our friendly team at Store That E14 know your requirements.

Depending on how often packages need to be accepted on your behalf, this service may incur a charge.

 

Can we help with loading and uploading pallets?

 

No problem! We have forklifts on site to assist with loading and unloading pallets, with staff fully trained in using this equipment. 

 

Can I store food and drink in my unit?

 

Storage of food and drink is permitted in some cases, but this does depend on the type of food or drink and the quality, and style of packaging. We do not allow customers to store any items that may attract vermin or are hazardous in any way.

Do you accept 20ft and 40ft container or trailer deliveries on site?  

 

Yes, but this needs to be arranged with our team prior to the delivery.


Do you stock packaging materials on site at Store That E14?

 

Yes, we offer a wide variety of packing materials should you wish to purchase them when loading your items into your container.

Bubble wrap, transit blankets, carboard boxes, packing peanuts, and furniture covers are all available to help you keep your belongings safe. We also have other handy essentials available, such as marker pens, tape measures, utility knives, shrink wrap, and tape.

Can you handle unusual requests for storage and handling of goods or materials, such as oversized items.

 

We always try to oblige where possible, providing the items don’t represent a health and safety risk to our staff, our site or our customers. We have warehouses and open yard space where goods can be unloaded and stored. Please get in touch with our team to discuss your requirements in more detail.

 

Can I work inside my unit?

 

Unfortunately, no. Running a business from our units is not permitted as this comes under a different level of service and insurance. Our storage units are not suitable for working environments.

You are, of course, welcome to store business stock here, or use as a base to label up items ready for dispatch, for example.

 

Can I personalise my container?

 

It’s important that your storage container fulfils your requirements, however, we don’t allow decorative items to be attached anywhere inside our units. Our team are more than happy to place shelves inside your unit if required.
