Store That E14 discuss the best London Christmas Lights in 2021

The staff here at Store That E14 are fully in the Christmas spirit now! With only two weeks to go, if you’re like us, you’ll be looking to pack your days filled with festive fun. Here in London, the seasons spirits are never dull, and that is mostly to do with the amazing collection of light displays the capital has to offer! The Store That team wanted to give a little run down of our favourite Christmas light installations this year.

Carnaby Street

If you’re looking for something a little different this Christmas time, these lights will be right up your (Carnaby) street! With a bursting array of colourful butterflies and a kaleidoscope of colour, the Carnaby Street light display is a welcome splash of uniqueness to Central London. This light display is a collaboration with the refugee charity Choose Love.

Covent Garden

Known for its giant Christmas tree but this year, Covent Garden have gone all out with their Xmas decs. There’s an immersive LEGO installation that was a hit with families in 2020, and for the first time, a snowy installation as Frozen the Musical take over the Piazza. There really is something for the whole family, including mulled wine stalls and daily snowfall!   

Winterfest – Wembley Park

Looking a little further out, making its return to Wembley Park is Winterfest! Last year this installation was missing, however, this year is more than making up for it with a 25ft walk through tree that is made of 100,000 LED lights. There is a Winterfest lights trail that you can follow with 7 different installations from different artists, perfect for those Instagrammable pictures!

Winter Lights – Canary Wharf – 19th Jan to the 29th

One that starts a little later but is closer to us here at Store That E14, is the winter lights in Canary Wharf. Running from the 19th January to the 29th January, the winter lights of Canary Wharf are entering their 7thyear. There are 25 different light installations to illuminate your wintery evenings, made by some of Europe’s most innovative light artists. 

Illuminating your Home 

If you can’t make it to any of these installations, why not turn your own home into a winter wonderland? All you need is some lights, and you can create a masterpiece! Once the festive season is over, you can even store your Christmas decorations with us at Store That E14.
