What “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” Can Teach Us About Self Storage
One of the most popular sitcoms in recent years is Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the hit New York police comedy starring Andy Samberg, Chelsea Peretti, Terry Crews, and many more fantastic performers. As part of Store That’s love for anything film and television, we thought we would dive into the 99th precinct and find out what they can teach us about secure self-storage E14!
Store That is a company offering storage units in Canary Wharf and other storage solutions such as small internal units all the way up to sea containers! If you’re in need of space, we’re always on hand to provide you with everything you require.
Busting Ratko In Brooklyn
Storage units made an appearance in the very first episode of Brooklyn 99 - the pilot episode. When a luxury food importer, was found murdered they tracked down the suspect, a Serbian butcher named Ratko, in a gourmet food market. When confronted by the detectives he escapes from the store.
Due to a history of using storage solutions at the Brooklyn self-storage facility, the team believed this was his next move. They followed their instinct and were lead straight to Ratko - where the whole squad made an arrest. It’s likely that Ratko had a unit at the BSS Facility for his personal belongings away from the butchering industry - because storing meats in a storage facility isn’t advised.
Boyle’s Hunch For The Stolen Artwork
When detective Charles Boyle first met his girlfriend Genevieve, he was smitten with love. Unfortunately, he met her at a courthouse when she was defending herself, supposedly for stealing artwork from a gallery. Charles was understandably gutted, and adamant that Genevieve is innocent of the alleged crimes. However, new evidence was found in the form of a receipt for an unknown storage unit.
Genevieve was renting space, similar to our storage units in Canary Wharf which contained all of the stolen artwork from the gallery. All of the evidence was pointing towards her until another detective found she had an alibi for the day the storage unit was rented. The real culprit was apprehended, and Genevieve was released from prison.
Moral Of The Story
