Spring Cleaning Whilst Self-Isolating and Other Top Tips
Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past few weeks, you’ll have realised a lot of us now have significantly more time in our daily lives. If you’re not amongst those fortunate enough to be able to work remotely, then you’ve got even more time on your hands. But what to do with it? You could start a new hobby, learn an instrument, write a masterpiece, perhaps. In fact, there’s been a (probably inaccurate) fact about Shakespeare doing the rounds on social media, claiming that he wrote King Lear whilst quarantined. Here at Store That E14, we have a different suggestion. Do a full spring clean, after all, it is the time of year for it! Following a clean you may realise you have the need for some sea container storage…
Tips for A Top Spring Clean
Firstly, make a schedule. Spring cleans, by their very nature, can be pretty mammoth affairs. Because of this, you don’t want to try and tackle it all at once, break the clean up into more manageable chunks that you can tick off, and you’ll find it much easier to do! Consider partitioning the house down into its individual rooms, and methodically work your way through one room at a time. Also, if you’re looking to do a spring clean properly, you need to clean everywhere – that means no spot gets left untouched! Clean the corners, nooks and crevices towards the ceilings, and then work your way down to vacuuming the floors. Finally, protect yourself! This sounds a bit dramatic, but the amount of dust and dirt that a thorough clean will kick up can trigger even the slightest of allergies, so please take care and wear protective, cleaning equipment where you can!
Declutter with Sea Container Storage
Midway through the clean, you may realise just how much stuff you actually have. More importantly, you may realise just how much stuff you don’t need. This then calls for a declutter! Not only will this free up more room in your home, it’ll leave you with less to sort come next year’s spring clean! It doesn’t need to be a permanent solution either, if you’re not quite sure whether you need a selection of things, but aren’t ready to commit to getting rid of those treasured items, then place it in sea container storage!
Social distancing, self-isolation and the dreaded work lockdown means you’ve got that extra time, don’t waste it! Otherwise, you’ll look back and be wondering where the time went! So, if you’d like to find out more about how Store That’s sea container storage can help give you the perfect spring clean, then get in touch! We offer unit sizes from 20- 155sqft.
