Four Ways to Make An Office Space With Store That

Remote working has seen a huge increase since lockdown measures were introduced, not by choice but by necessity. With the Government advising working from home unless absolutely impossible, many of us have had to start getting used to mixing work and home. I know, the horror! Some people may be more productive whilst others may find it tiresome and mind-numbing. One thing is for certain, though, and that’s that you need a suitable office working space so that you can get on with your work. The team here at Store That, providers of secure storage in E14, has put together a list of four ways in which you can optimise your home space for maximum productivity!

Use A Separate Space, If Possible

It could be the spare bedroom, it could be your loft space or it could even be the shed (give it a clean first, mind!), if you have the space going spare, this is what we suggest is most important! Working from home brings with it a large number of added distractions that you wouldn’t ordinarily experience in the office environment. By utilising an entirely separate space, you keep those distractions at bay much more easily.

If You Don’t Have the Space, Keep Distractions Away

Many people won’t have the luxury of extra space, but this isn’t the end of the world. If you’re limited on options, then just make sure you pick somewhere you’re less likely to get distracted – picking the living room, for example, where the TV remote is only an arm’s reach away from you, is probably not going to be conducive to getting lots of work done. Choose a more neutral space, the kitchen is a good place to choose. It’s worth adding a note of caution with choosing a kitchen space; if you live on your own then there’s no issue, but if you have lots of people in the home, then people will be filtering in and out and potentially causing distractions from your work all day. On the plus side, you’re near to the fridge, so it’s pros and cons, really!

Choose Somewhere with Good Internet Connection

Some people are fortunate enough to have good internet connection across the breadth and depth of their homes, others are not that lucky. If I’m not working from a specific point in my home, for example, then my internet connection reduces so much that I may as well use a carrier pigeon than attempt to send an email. The highly communicative and digital nature of today’s world necessitates that you work somewhere in your home with at least adequate internet. That is, of course, unless you want a monitor smashed out of frustration within the first two hours of sitting at your desk!

Clear Up With Secure Storage In E14

To avoid any added stress piled on top of having to work remotely, you don’t want your workspace to be cluttered. Ideally, you want it clean and to replicate your actual office as best as possible. This means you may need to store some of your personal belongings away for a time. Our secure storage in E14 is perfect for this very situation. Competitively priced and safe, you can easily clear up the space you need to get your work done. Getting stuff done, work-wise, is much easier when you get rid of the other stuff.

Even after the lockdown, remote working may become a much more popular method of working for companies. For some people, this may mean working from home is in for the long-term. If that’s the case, then you want to create a space which enables you to, not just endure, but be productive on top of that.
